This date marked the beginning of a radically new way of thinking that manifested itself not only in the visual arts, but also in theater, literature and performance &#8211; a new understanding of the world and expression. In terms of content, Kentridge combines historical and contemporary references: Some texts are taken from Tristan Tzara&#8217;s Dada Manifesto of 1916, others from the opening lines of Kurt Schwitters&#8217; Dadaist Ursonate of 1932.
