For his first collaboration with Avant Arte, Glenn Brown revisits two of his famous original oil paintings – Doggerland (2022-2024) and Black Ships Ate the Sky (2020) – which are themselves influenced by classical portraits from the 16th century. In addition to subtle distortions of color and proportion, Brown introduces a striking new motif: black bars on the ground, a nod to old Star Wars posters.<\/p>\n
